Vintage Karen Walker

Clockwise from the top left corner: Biker Jacket from Runaway Autumn/Winter 2003 (I own this jacket in black), Tree Girl T-shirt from Tree Girl Autumn/Winter 2005/2006 (I own this T-shirt in pink), Balloon Skull T-shirt from Living with Cannibals and other Adventures Spring/Summer 2005 (I own the exact T-shirt) and Karen Pin from Living with Cannibals and other Adventures Spring/Summer 2005 (I own the exact pin).

Karen Walker makes the best prints period. Tree Girl and Skull Balloon are my favourites. What I love about the Skull Balloon print is that it glows in the dark. I just love all of Karen's designs and I'm constantly on the prowl for more vintage Karen Walker pieces.

Show Me The Money!

Outfit: Glassons boater hat, Just Jeans jacket, Lonely Hearts t-shirt, Mulberry bag, Ignite pants and Glassons jandals

I hope everyone had an awesome Chirstmas. I went to the boxing day races yesterday but I decided not to dress up like I did last year. I just wanted to be comfortable. I bought my self a Race Book to help me pick some winners and I doubled up my money so I'm happy!

Wellington Weekend Shopping

I had a fantastic time in Wellington on Sunday. I hadn't been there in a long time. Checked out my favourite stores and boutiques. Finally went to Swonderful which was so awesome. I love their selection of cute stationery and I got some cute little pin buttons by Nut and Bee and some Swonderful pencils with "The Outcome is Doubtful" and "Swonderful" printed on them which I am gifting to a friend for Christmas. I was also tempted to get one of their Swellington tote bags.

I had yummy pancakes at Mr Bun on Cuba which kept me full for most of the day. I highly recommend having breakfast there, not only was the food yummy, the prices were very good too.

My friend was shocked that I spent $139 on a Lonely Hearts T-Shirt from Area 51 but my friend is really frugal when it comes to buying clothes so of course it was a shock but I can justify spending a bit more on New Zealand designers. I've been wanting the T-Shirt ever since I saw it in the Lonely Hearts lookbook. I just love the design on the shirt. It's a take on a tennis logo with twisted creatures surrounding the crest. It's perfect for me because I LOVE tennis and Lonely Hearts, which equals the perfect combo.

I also dropped in to Karen Walker which is always great. I was so excited I got to see the new Topshop clothes that they're stocking now. I loved the flat shoes with the bows on them the most. I was really contemplating on getting a blue KW skinny belt with a chain but I kinda told myself that I can get it next time because I've already spent too much money already.

Outfit: Ray-Ban sunglasses, Just Jeans denim jacket, Kate Sylvester pin, Ezibuy breton tee, Bling necklace, Lee jeans and a Marc by Marc Jacobs tote bag.

Vogue Australia December 2010

Georgia Jagger looks stunning on the front cover of the December issue of Vogue Australia. She is wearing a Louis Vuitton silk tulle dress and Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci boots.
My favourite part in this issue is a feature on mixing high and low pieces. I liked how they featured clothes that everyone has access to and by adding one high price item you can make the entire outfit look expensive but without the high price tag. I'm definitely not made of money and this fashion feature is how I like to dress.

Bunny Loving!

I have a soft spot for anything bunny related. It may be because I have owned my own pet bunny and are such wonderful animals. I love online shopping and I have been stumbling across lots of fashionable bunny items. My favourite would have to be the Mulberry Alexa T-Shirt that features the cutest bunny inside the iconic Alexa Bag. I am seriously thinking of getting the T-Shirt as an early Christmas present to myself.

Lady Alexa

I love how Alexa mixes it up. Here she is attending the "Love & Other Drugs" screening in a Valentino dress, Louis Vuitton shoes and a Chanel purse.

Magical Midnight!

*SPOILER ALERT* Don't say I didn't warn you!
I've just gotten home from my midnight screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. I am so fortunate to be one of the first people in the World to have seen it. Deathly Hallows Part 1 was amazing and I'm not just saying it because I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I have been dissapointed with some of the previous movies for not being true enough to the books but Deathly Hallows Part 1 has far exceeded my expectations. The scene where the Death Eaters and Voldemort are at the Malfoy Manor was very true to the book and done so fantastically. Hedwig and Mad-Eye Moody's death however was quite a blur and really didn't make me feel too emotional and I felt much more emotional when reading it in the book. However I felt the opposite for Dobby's death. I didn't feel sad when he died in the book but for some strange reason I shed a tear watching his death in the movie. It was probably the combination of seeing Harry cry and the music. I would not recommend Deathly Hallows Part 1 to any children under the age of 10. Nagini alone would scare them. I score Deathly Hallows Part 1 a 10/10.

Potter Madness!

The world premiere for "The Deathly Hallows Part 1" was held in London last week. Lots of screaming fans lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the famous trio. I wish I could have been there. I do however have a ticket to the midnight screening at my local cinema for tomorrow and I can't wait! Potter madness is here!

Halloween Fun

Halloween was really fun this year. Decorated the house with fake spiderwebs and spiders. We had trick o' treaters at 2:30 in the afternoon which was really early and unexpected but they were so cute. One was dressed in a batman suit but he had a pumpkin mask on which was a crazy combo. Dinner was pumpkin soup, minced brain balls with blood sauce and spider drinks. Yum! Halloween isn't Halloween without watching a horror movie. The movie we watched was a Hong Kong thriller called "Abnormal Beauty" which was actually really freaky.

New Zealand's Next Top Model Finale!

Yay we will finally find out who wins New Zealand's Next Top Model tomorrow night. My personal pick is Danielle. The judges all love her and she's definitely been a favourite from the get go.

Hooray this is my 100th post!

Federation for CanTeen

I just love my Federation Oui Yes! bandanna. Very cool! On a serious note there is an estimated 10-12,000 young people living with cancer in New Zealand and CanTeen is an organisation that supports them. Please purchase a bandanna, they're only $4 each and there are also more designs if the Federation one doesn't tickle your fancy.

Jessica Clarke back in Palmy

Jessica Clarke has been spotted back in her (and my) hometown of Palmerston North. Here she is with Colin Mathura-Jeffree in the Plaza about a week and a half ago. She is such an amazing model and she's just finished her rounds of shows at the recent fashion weeks and is back in Palmy to finish off her schooling. She is doing Palmerston North and New Zealand so proud. The picture below is her working it for the D&G Spring 2011 show.

Who Wore It Better? Chloe vs Alex

Chloe Sevigny wore this leopard Lanvin print mini dress back in September which she paired with Christian Louboutin 'Madame Butterfly' booties. This week Alex Curran not only wore the same dress but the same shoes. Chloe rocked this outfit first and she wore it better. Alex gets no points for originality. Who do you think wore it better?

Kristen Stewart + Valentino

Love her or hate her in Twilight but there is no denying that she looks smoking hot in Valentino. She wore this yesterday to the premiere of her new drama Welcome to the Riley's.

Colin & I

I got to meet the lovely Colin Mathura-Jeffree (in my opinion the best judge on New Zealand's Next Top Model) at The Plaza last thursday. He was there to promote The Plaza's Most Fashionable Night Out. I think I might be one of his biggest stalkers because I also got to meet him earlier on in the year. It was a great night out as there were free drinks and food everywhere, plus awesome shopping deals.

Who Wore It Better? Alexa vs Blake

I love seeing celebrities wearing the same outfit and here we see Alexa Chung and Blake Lively both wearing Chanel. As usual Alexa always adds a boyish touch to her outfits; here with black loafers. I am also a fan of Blake Lively and she has gone with the more feminine touch with neutral heels and a simple bracelet. Who wore it better? Well it is a tough call because they have both worn the dress with there own sense of style but I have to give it to Alexa because I love her mix of high and low and her boyish touch. I am an Alexa fan so I am a bit biased. Who do you think wore it better?

The Garden of Chanel

Chanel has just shown their SS 2011 collection for Paris Fashion Week. As always it was a huge spectacle which had a garden for the runway and a magnificent fountain as the centerpiece. Clemence Poesy and Keira Knightley were enjoying the show with front row seats. The clothes were incredibly colourful and I loved all the feathers and accessories. I am especially in love with the cute little gold bag that looks like it could only hold a cellphone.
